Best Paradise Valley Thanksgiving Tips 2022

Best Paradise Valley Thanksgiving Tips 2022

Thanksgiving is a magical time in Paradise Valley and the Phoenix Metro Area. While the summer heat has passed, it is still warm and sunny enough for out-of-town family members to lay in the sun and go for a swim in the pool, which is my family’s annual tradition! Meanwhile at night, a slight chill comes and it actually feels a bit like Fall. It’s just lovely, and I expect our 2022 festivities to be just as wonderful.  What are your family’s traditions? Perhaps a Thanksgiving morning football game in the backyard with the kids? A hike on our many nearby trails? Whatever you choose, if you are staying in town for Thanksgiving, we did a little research on our favorite places to check out and make this holiday extra special.

Take Home/To-Go:

AJ’s

ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho (order by Nov. 21st)

Hearth ‘61 at Mountain Shadows

The Capital Grille (Scottsdale and Phoenix locations)

If you want the Levinson secret for a great Thanksgiving, it is having the best pie for dessert. Just a bit outside of town at Rock Springs Cafe, you will find an assortment of delicious pies to finish your feast in delight. They also deliver if you order early enough!

Desserts:

Rock Springs Cafe

Mamma Toledo’s The Pie Hole

Most retail stores (ie Scottsdale Fashion Square) have elected to stay closed on Thursday, so we look to the resorts and restaurants for our post-feast family activity. For spa members and guests of Sanctuary Camelback Mountain, there is an itinerary of events that starts with “Floats and Football Holiday Viewing Party” and ends the day with “Fire Pit S’mores”. The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess will be filled with excitement as their Christmas at the Princess kicks off this week. Dining on property spending $75/vehicle gets you complimentary admission. Santa will be there too! T.Cook’s at Royal Palms kicks the holiday celebration off with a breakfast Thanksgiving buffet, where children under 5 eat free. At 1pm, a 3 course menu dinner service begins that has options for our vegan and gluten free family members too!

Activities:

Sanctuary Camelback Mountain (for guests and spa members)

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess (Christmas at the Princess starts November 18th)

Hiking Trails:

 – Camelback Mountain – Echo and Cholla Trails

 – Piestewa Peak

 –Tom’s Thumb Trailhead

While reservations on OpenTable are going quickly, I always recommend following up with a call directly to the restaurant. So whether you go on a turkey trot up Camelback Mountain or eat til your waistband needs let out, we hope you have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
